Our friendship with origami started many years ago. What impressed me was how a piece of paper turned into a bird, a grashopper, a kangaroo... My friend József was more attracted by the process of designing and creating new models, and the logical structure of foldings. We have made more and more complicated models and then one day we discovered the beauty of simplicity and the power of adding characteristic features and positions to animal figures. Since then the goal has always been to create three-dimensional lively figures that requre great manual skills but are not to complicated. The motivation driving us to write this bookwas to share our appoach with others and present our best and most interesting models to the reader. We are trusting that this book will open up a new horizon for many of you and you will take delight in the figures.
